Barnham has four main neighbouring towns; Chichester, Arundel, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis as well as being close to Goodwood, famous for its motor circuit.
These towns are all
about 6 miles distant from Barnham. This is a popular large village
with pubs, restaurants, take-away's and shops. It has a mainline
railway station (direct line link to London and Gatwick Airport)
with a taxi rank, as well as bus services - all within 10 minutes
level walk from the cottages. Also close-by the cottages are many walks
- particularly along the old canal or across the marshes to the
south of the village.
The information
pack received in each of the cottages gives further suggestions including golf
courses, village pubs, cinemas and bowling alleys, sculpture parks,
sailing clubs, windsurfing, marinas and much more.
Chichester and
Arundel
Chichester and
Arundel are historic towns with splendid castles
and cathedrals, and both are famous for their association with
the arts. The roman-walled city of Chichester, has the Festival
Theatre, art galleries and a wide variety of shops, pubs, cafes and
restaurants. Arundel, set on the river Arun, has a
magnificent castle as well as a wetland centre, a host of antique
shops, an arts festival and a wonderful selection of places to eat
and drink.
Littlehampton and Bognor
Regis
Littlehampton and
Bognor Regis are both small classical seaside towns and both have
blue-flag beaches and are both less than six miles away.
Littlehampton is one of the few towns where you can drive to a
car-park on the sea front and step straight onto a huge safe clean
sandy beach.
Littlehampton is lucky to have two contrasting beaches to offer
visitors. East Beach with its blue star is a traditional sand and
shingle and is perfect for sun bathing! West Beach is made up of
natural golden sand dunes and is a popular spot for kite
surfers.
While in Littlehampton, visit the Look & Sea visitor
centre with panaromanic views, and the lifeboat station.
Enjoy river trips down to Arundel and enjoy eating at the new
architecturally designed East and West cafes (an experience).
Bognor Regis, which retains much Victorian architecture
including a pier, has many seaside amusements and arcades. On the
seafront is Harbour Park amusement centre with rides, adventure
golf, kiosks, there is tennis, bowls & crazy golf. Visit
theOysterPondBoatingLake where you can hire a pedal boat.
The Town Centre offers a variety of shops, restaurants and bars.
For entertainment, pop into the seafront Windmill Theatre &
Cinema Complex.

Downs offer a vast area of natural beauty and wonderful walking, as
well as being the home to Goodwood House, motor ciruit &

around five miles away from Goodwood, this makes staying at the
cottages an ideal location for the world famous Festival of
Speed and Goodwood
Revivial.
The coastline also
offers much of interest including the nearby nature reserve at
Pagham Harbour, the Sand Dunes at Climping, and the huge expanse of
